3rd December 2006 Windsurfing: Poo Bay Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: 5-6+ Surf / Sea State: Chop Air Temperature: 10 Sea Temperature: 11 Weather: Mixed Sun/Cloud/Rain Squalls Max Speed: Distance Covered: Went to Hayling Front, too much for me! Went back to Poo Bay, looked ok, wtaer going out fast but couldn't leave it. Rigged 4.0+FSW77+new 20cm Orca fin. Practically walked out of lagoon, made first gybe then none after! Water went out very quickly, so did all the other guys, so I stopped after about an hour. Saw Trev, who also bottled out on the Front! Rated it highish because of the wind strength and the board size. First time I used that fin too, seemed to turn pretty well, too bad about me. Not enough time, should have tried there first! Hayling Beach was pretty scarey tho, with monster break and huge wind. Nobody out when I got there (11--ish), although some rigging up. |
